Martin Haas is also a founding and board member of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). Prof. Dr. Manfred Köhler has been researching and teaching about the greening of buildings for many years and has published over 100 articles on the topic. His research focuses on long term studies of the environmental effects of roof, facade and interior greening. As editor of the recently published German handbook "The Greening of Buildings", he has researched the most current state of facade-greenery (traditional systems and living walls).

Roland Appl is a Building Physics Engineer (FH) and has been the technical director of a leading Green Roof system provider for more than 25 years. He is an author and member of the national working group for Green Roof Guidelines at the Landscape Development and Landscaping Research Society (FLL) and of the DIN committee "Geoplastics and Geotextiles". He has been president of the International Green Roof Association (IGRA) since 2008.

Ilya Mochalov is the current Secretary General of the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA). With his Moscow-based company "Ilya Mochalov and Partners" he was involved in a number of key projects in Russia that demonstrate the possibilities for integrating landscape, urban design and planning in achieving implemented solutions. Ilya Mochalov is Chairman of the Moscow Society of landscape architects and part-time lecturer at the Moscow State Forestry University.
